How can you select multiple messages and move to a folder in Outlook?

From Topica's Tip of the Day for 01/18/2001:

When it comes time to clean out your Inbox, the best thing to do is move the messages you want to keep into folders and delete the rest. But it can take forever if you do it one at a time! Fortunately, it's easy to select multiple messages. Then, you can forward or delete them all at the same time.

To select items that are next to each other, click the first item, then hold down Shift and click the previous item. Everything in between will be selected. To select messages that aren't next to each other, click the first item, then hold down Ctrl and select the rest of the items. Once you've selected them, you can forward or delete at will!
