What are the keystroke commands to save a document in Word?

It is indeed very wise to save often to prevent loss of data if there is a power or program failure. Use Ctrl-S and save your work at each point where you would hate to have to retype what you've accomplished. You can also instruct Word to automatically save your work periodically. Open the Tools Menu, select Options, click the Save tab, and activate the "Save Auto Recovery Info Every" option. You can specify an interval from 1 to 120 minutes.
