How may one share their Outlook calendar with someone off campus?

You have a couple of options but accessing your regular calendar in Outlook directly is not one of them on the NMMI network.

1) IS could create you a Public calendar but the WORLD (literally) could read it but that's the case on a web calendar.

2) Export to an Outlook.pst file only your Calendar. Send it in an email message. The other site would import it into their Outlook. The calendar would need to be updated occasionally. This would be a pain for home; maybe each Friday though would be enough.

In testing option #2, it may have been a flukey thing with me but I was not able to Insert the file as an attachment. I got an error message saying the file was locked by an application. I learned a great trick from a colleague that I plan to use a lot - drag the file into a new message! If you have never done this, shrink your Outlook screen to the smaller image. Drag the file onto the email message and it sets it up as an attachment. Slick!!
