What is the format for US currency in a MailMerge form?
Moderator: compserv@nmmi.edu (inherited from parent)

An excellent resource for dealing with formatting field codes such as currency, social security numbers, percentages, zip codes, dates, and even suppress field display for numbers <= 0 is located at Graham Mayer's web site at:

http://www.gmayor.com/formatting_word_fields.htm

Briefly, toggle the field by highlighting the field name in your MailMerge form document and press Shift/F9 keys. When MERGEFIELD and your field name is displayed, add this switch [\#"$,0.00;($,0.00)"] without the brackets directly after the field name as shown in the following example:

{MERGEFIELD GIFT_AMOUNT\#"$,0.00;($,0.00)"}
